CLIMB (Chronic Life: Inspiring Minds & Bodies) is a support group launching for individuals facing chronic illness and the loved ones who support them in the Bungay and Waveney area. We are a compassionate community built to provide strength, connection, and understanding through shared experiences. Our goal is to inspire both minds and bodies, offering hope, resilience, and the tools needed to navigate life’s ups and downs with chronic conditions. Whether you're living with a chronic illness or standing beside someone who is, CLIMB is here to help you on your journey.

Mission

At CLIMB (Chronic Life: Inspiring Minds & Bodies), our mission is to support individuals living with chronic illness and their families by creating a compassionate and empowering community. Together, we will help each other rise, adapt, and thrive in the face of life's challenges.

Our group is dedicated to fostering a safe space where those directly affected by chronic illness—our Chronic Champions—and their support networks can share their journeys, find strength in one another, and grow resilient. Through open dialogue, education, and mutual encouragement, we aim to provide the tools and resources necessary to navigate this path with hope and perseverance.

As we prepare to launch this support group, our guiding belief is simple: HEAL—Helping Each other Adapt to Life. Together, we will lift one another up, inspiring both minds and bodies to embrace the journey ahead with courage and community.

Why We Started

CLIMB was born out of personal experience and the struggle of navigating chronic illness with limited guidance and support. This past year, I was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and endometriosis, two conditions that profoundly changed my life. Suddenly, the routines I once took for granted became difficult or impossible. Managing daily tasks, relationships, and even my own body required more energy and planning than ever before.

It became clear that there is a deep need for a community where people who live with chronic illness, as well as their families and support networks, can find comfort, share experiences, and access reliable information. CLIMB has been founded to fill that gap—to provide a place where no one has to face the overwhelming changes that chronic illness brings by themselves. We believe in the power of community, and that together, we can climb the mountains of chronic life with strength and hope.

Who We Serve

CLIMB is here for anyone touched by chronic illness—both individuals living with these conditions and the families, friends, and caregivers who support them. We understand that chronic illness doesn’t just affect one person, but their entire support network. Whether you’re managing your own health or navigating life alongside a loved one with a chronic condition, CLIMB offers a space where you can connect, share, and grow together.

Our group welcomes anyone dealing with long-term health challenges, from physical conditions like autoimmune diseases, chronic pain, and mobility issues, to those navigating mental health challenges. If chronic illness is part of your life in any way, you belong here.

What We Offer

CLIMB will provide a supportive environment through weekly meetings, where Chronic Champions and their support networks can come together to share experiences, learn from one another, and offer encouragement. These meetings create a safe space for honest conversation, mutual support, and practical advice on living with chronic conditions.

But our work doesn’t stop there. We are committed to growing CLIMB into a comprehensive resource for our community. Our website will serve as a hub for valuable information, including articles, tips, and personal stories about living with chronic illness. As we grow, we plan to host fundraisers to support awareness and advocacy efforts, as well as offer merchandise to help build solidarity and raise awareness for chronic illness.

At CLIMB, we believe in creating a community that not only helps you face the challenges of chronic illness but also celebrates the resilience, courage, and strength of every individual who walks this journey. Together, we will heal, grow, and inspire.
